Hi, I am sure this has been discussed many times before, but just wondering if somebody could give me a quick answer to this: I have a site that has been live for about 6 months, yet it has never appeared in Google? Googlebot visits daily, I spend a fair bit of money with Adwords but if I try to search for my site on Google it is not there! I checked my robots.txt like a previous post mentioned and it appears OK, it is the same as the file for another site that is indexed. I have never done anysort of cloaking or other skullduggery, my only crime may be duplicate content (I use a few articles from articles sources) The site is also on the same server as other sites that are indexed, so it shouldnt be the IP. Should I contact Google? Your thoughts would be appreciated. Kind Regards Sara
sounds more like the sandbox if the site is still new, have a read around the sandbox forum for for info. If your site was banned from google, then i doubt they would let u use adwords (i think)
Hi, Thanks for all the comments, I will check out the sandbox info. I disregarded this previously as I started about 8 sites in a period of just over one month and all of the others are listed, just this one isnt?? The domain name had been registered previously, so I wonder if the 'previous owner' did something wrong? I wouldnt think that Adwords would be fussy as to accepting a listing from a site that is banned, but I am just guessing. Thanks again for the info. Cheers Sara
