    Regarding Yahoo site checker.

That service is a bit dodgy, because I have a forum which has only been online under two months, gets over a hundred yahoo spiders per day and indexes on page 3, which considering that the forum is new and with minimal activity, is probably a better position than it deserves to be. If someone enters the prime keyword for my site: 'example' forums. I am number 1.

Can a site be banned and still index in the yahoo search engine?
Maybe I have a poor understanding of 'banned'. I'd better do some research.

Nope.. A banned site can't be indexed in all search engines. For example http://www.rhinestonetshirts.net, when you key in link:http://www.rhinestonetshirts.net on yahoo the portion for the pages turned into 0. It only means that yahoo had deleted all those pages that yahoo had indexed previously. The inlinks were referred as backlinks. It only shows that he have posted in many directories, forums or have been doing link exchanges in several sites promoting his site.

Why would yahoo do this to someone's Domain? My site is less than two months old, I haven't spammed, or black hatted, or plastered my site with links. What could I have possibly done, and how do I correct the situation? I imagine dealing with yahoo, on a matter such as this, would be a nightmare.
I better move my Forum to one of my un-banned Domains. But it would be nice to know why I am being singled out for punishment.

I was never able to verify my site. Could that have something to do with my status? I used the proper verification process, but it wouldn't verify my Domain.

Yahoo site explorer is telling me this:
    Pages (47) | Inlinks (491)

I can tell you I am NOT banned on Google.

I didn't know what happened to your site. Based on what you've posted, you're definitely not banned in yahoo. Could you post your url here so that I can check it out.

The reason I fear that I am banned is because that Search engine genie website is giving me the following message:

Your site eurosceptics.org not yet crawled in Yahoo.or your site is banned in Yahoo.

I can tell you that the site sometimes has as many as a hundred yahoo spiders on line. And my site is very new, and not very active. My SEO is excellent. Very simple and streamlined.

All my other Domains are reported as: Not banned. Why my newest web project would be banned by Yahoo is beyond me.

    But here's the sites link:
    -Euroscep Forums

    Thanks for your advice.

Based on my analysis your doing great in your site. You should advertise more so that you could attract more users in your forum. Do all SEO link building techniques so that you may have lots of backlinks specially you're site is a forum. A forum is a huge nest for backlinks. :D Anyways here's my analysis:

My target audience is very limited and specialised. I am prepared to be patient and do all the work necessary to build a successful message board community.

I have a site that is 100% non-profit and non-commercial, yet I am advertising with Google Adwords, targeting my particular niche. I am using highly relevant keywords but getting very few impressions and almost no clicks. My minimum bid and budget are more than adequate.

My ranking in the search engines fluctuate wildly on yahoo bouncing between page 3 and 8! I know this is do to a lack of fresh content. I currently have 3 yahoo spiders crawling the forum. This evening I will write a dozen or so original articles, and within twenty four hours my site will be rotten with crawlers.

As for Google? As a result of the new algorithm, I do not expect my site to achieve much notice due to lack of activity. But as I stated earlier, I am working on it and have great patience and reasonable short term expectations.

I'll be in Britain this Summer. I'll hand out business cards with my forums url, place Ads in local papers, and spray paint my Domain on the nearest over pass!...lol

Unfortunately, Pornographic and celebrity gossip site webmasters have a built in audience. Political webmasters like myself have to work verrrrry hard to find their members.

    Thanks.

Are you suggesting my forum might be perceived as controversial by the establishment and that I might place myself at risk for an inquiry?...lol

If it's not banned, it's too close to being banned. Why? I searched www.rhinestonetshirts.net in yahoo and your website is nowhere to be found. The number of results is merely 301. This website will never be found by any other keywords.

Yep... Certainly. It is way to simple and less stressful if you do it online rather manually. You might also be rejected by other people. (I hate being rejected, hehe)

Euroscepticism is hardly so controversial. I will be visiting relatives in the UK this summer. I'll put your theory to the test. If you do not see me logged into Dp for a few months, assume the worse!...lol

I have never feared rejection. My devastatingly good looks always get me by:D

But the fact Google is pricing my keywords at 5.00 USD and above has very disturbing implications for the future of free speech and commerce in general.
I wonder about the going price for keywords such as 'sex' and 'bondage'.The pornographers do not seem to be having any problem affording keywords relevant to their worthy industry:rolleyes:

Hehe.. Nice one Conservopath... Sometimes good looks still doesn't matter to some people. :D . If you consider in distributing flayers or by the word of mouth you'll be sorry in the long run. A piece of advice dude, do both. If you're planing to distribute flayers, do also in online. Anyways, good luck to your trip...:D
