I've been researching a lot for the past couple weeks and I decided its time to get my feet wet in IM starting with PPC/adsense sites. Small niche sites are what I will be starting with and this is my plan: Sign up with bluehost for webhosting, use wordpress as main CMS and sign up for google adsense. I also have my own health product that I can sell online, what type of hosting would be best to create a website like that? Would Wordpress still be a good CMS for creating a nice, descriptive website with shopping cart etc... Also what would be the best way to learn SEO like backlink building etc..? I would extremely appreciate ANY help, I'm 20 years old working full time to support my self as a full time student in college. My main goal is to quit my job and secure a residual income so thanks for anybody with helpful advice!
I think C-panel is better than wordpress. because wordpress is looking like a blog. and about back link building. As a SEO professional i can say you start from directory submission, article submission, social bookmarking, blog commenting, forum posting etc.
Do you really need a shopping cart just to sell one product? I doubt it. WTF are you talking about? Cpanel is hosting not a blogging platform.
Means? I am not talking about shopping or such that. I am talking about your site you requested for suggestion. As you know wordpress, C-panel is like this, I am talking about it. If you design your site in C-Panel then there will be HTML pages in your site. Regards
I suppose you are right I wouldn't need a shopping cart if its just ONE product, although it has different sizes. Would you suppose just a straight out order page? This will be farther along the line since I would like to start with adsense. Wordpress can be installed in cpanel right?
Hey congrats on getting started on internet marketing, as a beginner I would stick to free methods and just learn from there. PPC can be risky as you can lose a lot of money if you aren't knowledgeable. What I would do would be to really learn PPC and then go ahead with it. As for the type of hosting bluehost is good hosting and recommend using it. I use wordpress daily and love it, it has so many options and wouldn't use anything else. Wordpress has some good themes with shopping cart, and also some widgets available. As for backlinking I wouldn't do alot of massive backlinking if the site is fairly new. Wait until the website is atleast 3 months old, and then start building links. However there's many theories on this, the key is not to build to many links in a short period of time, because the search engines will look at your backlinks as spam and sandbox your site...that's not good. I would say that you just focus on building the site and doing the ppc, and outsource backlinks. I offer a backlink service, and you can message me for more info on that. I would just focus on one thing, as I've tried doing various things in the past, and didn't get anything done, jeje. I think your off at a good start since you have a health product you want to promote, create your site around the product, write and submit a few articles to article directories, and do some ppc. Also I know of Google Adwords discount for $50-$100 off on your first campaign, I have some info on that also, that way you first start off without losing alot of money...you'll learn from the campaign and you'll optimize for the best profit. Hope this helped!
Well definitely get a good handle on PPC. It's instant results but you can drain your advertising money FAST if you don't know what ou are doing. If you can get to click on your ad make sure you have a well converting landing page.
Wordpress and micro niche sites are good. Before entering PPC just learn about that, then only you can succeed. If you use google adwords PPC dont enter network ads. It will eat your money fast. Only use search ads.
If you do not need often update the site may be HTML is the best choice, it is fast and easily to transfer if you want to sell it in the future.
I would not do ppc starting out..unless you have some money to burn. Best is to make a site for a low competition keyword and use adsense.
Yes, you can install WordPress in Cpanel through the Fantastico or Softaculous program. Most web hosts have Fantastico but my host has both. It takes less than 1 minute to get WP installed on your site using either one of those. If you only have one product to sell, then you don't need a full blown shopping cart. However, there are WP plugins which will add ecommerce capabilities to your site. My personal recommendation is to use E-Junkie.com which will host your files, and provide you with sales links/download links for customers. Their basic package is $5.00 a month and they interface with different payment platforms like Paypal, 2CO. If you have Paypal, you can also set up a purchase link using their webmaster tools and that's free.
its better if you focus in one of part online business, example, pay per click (such as: adsense), if you have can handle it, you can decide to more focus with that, or you can expand with other part of online business. buy domain, create a blog with blogspot/wordpress, develop site, link buliding, seo effort, make traffic, convert traffic to income $$$, good luck never give up, always keep on spirit, lol
