Hi. Was wondering if my keyword is in my permalink structure too many times. I don't care if you find out about my keyword, it's pretty obvious from the name of my site: http://windows7center.com/windows-7...dition-to-drive-netbook-prices-as-low-as-200/ The term "windows 7" appears 3 times. One of my friends drew this to my attention as an obvious SEO plug. I will admit this is true, but at the same time, the structure I use is rather legitimate. The question is though if this is a bad thing to do? Site name: Legitimate since that's what my site is called Category: Could be news instead but still somewhat legit Article name: Legit because users need to know what I'm talking about Can I have some input on this? Thanks!
It's not a bad thing to do but I think it's overkill. You could have the post located within the "news" category or have the post located in the root directory.
Windows 7 three times in your URL. Even a bot would get suspicious. My recommendation would be to remove category from permalink.
I do not thing this is too much if your page SEO is related (Title, headers, text, etc). I believe this is not the number of times it appears, but the keyword ratio. If you got your keyword filling 50% of the URL, that is too much. It is OK for me now, but this is probably the maximum.
