Is my new website content qualified for Adsense?

    Hey

I have an adsense account for a website and now I wanna create a new website and wondering if it's fine to place adsense ads in it. My new website is almost like 9gag so memes and funny content and such stuff. You know that many funny pics or memes are shared almost everywhere so will that be considered duplicated content?
    SEMrush
If I share something from a known website I will mention the source for sure but many funny pics or memes maybe we can't find their original source so is it allowed to place ads in such website? knowing that many websites and even 9gag have duplicated content but just wanna be on the safe side.

    Thanks!

I am not sure if that is considered copyright or not. Like many websites share the same meme but it's original source is almost unknown that's why i wanna know more about these things and how do they work

    NO
.............. AdSense publishers may not display Google ads on webpages with content protected by copyright law unless they have the necessary legal rights to display that content. This includes sites that display copyrighted material, sites hosting copyrighted files, or sites that provide links driving traffic to sites that contain copyrighted material ........................

Yea I know but the problem is the 99.99% of the memes and funny pics that 9gag share for example is shared already in hundreds of websites and Facebook pages so knowing who's the real owner to credit the pic to is impossible that's why I am asking if such pics or content fall under copyright content or not.

If such content is copy right then how do memes websites make money? like 9gag and memecenter and many others they have ads running and not their own advertisements program but ads by adsense or other similar services so how are they showing ads and that violates Google's policy?

9gag are probably a premium publisher, and as a premium publisher they negotiate their own terms and conditions with Google.

Uhhm, isn't 9gag an user submitted platform, like imgur.com ?! I might be wrong, but I always saw mentions of OP ( original poster ) on 9gag .
If that's the case, users are hold responsible for what they share. It's basically like a social media platform, but with a funny / meme niche.

no, it's not the same thing. On 9gag there are user policies that each one agrees with. So it's the user that share the content that takes full responsibility, the webmaster take NONE because he doesn't upload nothing himself. It's just like YouTube doesn't have the rights for the videos people share on them, the users take full responsibility and they comply to some rules.

Look closely on 9gag, you have a little report button under each photo. Because this is A MUST. If somebody claims that photo, they must investigate and take it down.

Or even a simpler example: this forum and it's posts. The webmaster doesn't own my posts, I am fully responsible for what I share and I will pay he consequences if I violate a copyright and someone sues me. You understand now how that website works?

The problem is here YOU want to share the content, and that makes YOU responsible for everything you have on your website. So if something happens, you will pay the consequences.

Thats BS. You might want to talk to an internet lawyer about that before you embarrass yourself any more.
Again that is plain and simple BS. Plenty of forums have been sued for the the content posted by users! ... just ask any internet lawyer

Ok, so maybe it's even worst than what I said. I am not embarrassed at all. I am not an internet lawyer but my idea was : Don't do this.
I said, the website is responsible to tell the users " hey you can't do that and that, otherwise we will ban you or give the imformation to the police bla bla" . When they register, they are told to accept the term and conditions. If in terms and conditions says that you will pay all damages if something happens for something that you shared, and you accept it, I guess that means one thing.

Of course they will sue the webmaster because they can, you can sue anybody. And I didn't said that the webmaster can get away forever with this, but as far as I know that's how they got away with it so far. And we are not talking about sharing illegal stuff like porn and drugs, we talking about copyright infringement here.

If you counterargument at least present a real statement so would be a intelligent discussion and not a tantrum . I really want to know more about this , and that's a reason why I participate in this discussion. I am no law expert but I do want to find more about this topic.

I must say - I see several sides of everyone's argument. Although it is true, Images on the web or any content for that matter - had to start somewhere! Someone had to create it! Are they all copyrighted? Not sure. I have a General Copyright notice on my website. I myself, have created a few images for my own website. However - a few years ago, I would find images on the web that were just Flooded everywhere! Like you said - 99% .... I did put some of those type images on my website - Images that were clearly used over and over and over. And I never had any problems with adsense or anyone. But now ... I only display my own content/images.

ALL IMAGES ARE COPYRIGHTED. Jesus christ how stupid are people? Even if you drew a picture in crayon, it's copyrighted. There isn't' some magical person that says 'your image is copyrighted; this guy's image is not'. It's all copyrighted. If you didn't create it yourself, you must have permission to use it. Forget other websites. They either a) don't use adsense. b) get permission from copyright holders. c) Are very large sites with millions of users that are too big for AdSense to say no to (i.e. doing so would actually hurt Google's revenue). DON'T COPY IMAGES. IT WON'T WORK. ASK THE OTHER 3 BILLION PEOPLE BEFORE YOU THAT HAVE TRIED IT. IT DOESN'T WORK. IT HASN'T WORKED. IT NEVER WILL.
