Can someone just glance over my UK business forums and tell me if everything looks OK, are there any glaring basic errors or something I should have done before I open it? [I have looked at it so much in the last few days I can't see the wood for the trees. ] many thanks. James.
Looks ready to me, the only thing I'd suggest is shortening your titles e.g. page http://businessforums.justoneuk.com/viewtopic.php?t=3 has a title of JustOneUK.com - Business Forums :: View topic - Advertise Here There also looks to be a problem with code as when I do a view source, towards the bottom of the page I see: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> </head> <body> Code (markup):
I would remove the "JustOneUK.com - Business Forums :: View topic" from the title and just have the thread title, like on DP. Also put a meta description tag created from the first 255(?) characters of the post.
thanks for looking that deep dct, It's just a standard phpbb installation, so don't know where that is coming from. I will have to look into the title changing, unless anyone knows a simple (working) mod? James.
I like the nice, crisp colours and nice layout. Plain and simple but much better than many I have seen. Good job.
I like the layout, but I would change all of the orange in your site to red or dark blue. (but it would look cooler if you had red & green as your color scheme, so it would match your logo) P.S: I love your logo, it's perfect Okay, I just joined the forum and posted around. Here are additional comments: - I found it hard to go back to the main page of the forums, maybe you can link your logo to the forum's index page instead? - Your google adsense ads are soooo well blended!
Nice layout and phpBB integration. You have too many empty categories. Start many threads in them or hide them from guest view. Good job, keep it up
good looking , nice page. why dont u introduce ur forum in my forum here?: http://www.ewebproz.com/forums/ u can use Vbulletin instead of phpbb cause it is more professional than yours
