Is my list ruined?

I've used aweber to build a list of 2000 subscribers on my rapidshare search site. When people opt in they get a welcome email, but thats it. I haven't sent monthly newsletters, any tips, any offers..anything.

How can I get my list back in shape to start marketing to them?

    Thanks!!

Shoot em an email saying whats up. That you've been totally swamped with blah blah but now your back and ready to offer some really sweet stuff.

Several posts with quality content. That's your best bet to get back on track.

I have an email marketing success post on my blog (see the sig). It's pretty long so I've chosen not to copy/paste here.

You should use that list. Its a very good way of staying connected to users.

Give away some good quality content! Absolutely! Remind them why they trusted you with their information. Tell them you have been working hard on <<Blank>> and you think they will agree that it was worth the wait. Just make sure you deliver on the promise. You only get one shot or they will start to distrust you and your opt outs will go up!

I wouldn't say that your list is ruined.

Send them some free bonus and tell them what you've been upto. And keep sending some original content regularly from now onwards.....

    Cheers,

i guess you'll have to gradually warm them back up.. the biggest mistake you can do right now is send them an email selling something because that is what will ruin your list..

send out a some quality emails with content and you should be able to do some immediate repair imho

Just send them an email giving them a reason why you haven't been intouch with them and let them know you gonna be there more often.

    good luck
