I have recently made a blog just to document random thoughts on business. I want it to become reader responsive and maybe even add a few admins to contribute. It's on Blogger.com (blogspot.com). I have tried add a few RSS and other ways of aqcuiring traffic. Eventually I would like to add some revenue producing adds and such. Right now the goal is traffic and readers. Any suggestions or changes I should make on the layout, look, and/or feel of the blog? http://biz-tone.blogspot.com Any feedback would help. Thanks.
It is lame to me. No offense. but there are many free templates out there you can download. It will bring off your site and let people think you are serious about your blogging making it actually worth bookmarking. Good luck with your blog!
Here's some "constructive" criticism for you. Your blog looks like a decent blog, but like j0ned said, it looks like every other blogspot blog out there. The reason is because you are using one of the pre-made templates. If you want readers to choose your blog over others, you need something to set them apart. I would say the main thing would be to get your own domain and hosting (it's not all that expencive), and set up your own site. This way you can customize it a lot more. I would also recommend getting a custom theme some where a long the line. As you can see from my blog, that's something I still need to do From reading your first post, your content is awesome and original, which is a huge plus! (you are a good writer) I guess the main idea is to stand out among other blogs. A potential reader can decide within seconds if they are going to keep reading a blog or not. You have to show them in that amount of time that yours is different and better than all of the rest. Hope this helps, Nick

Like mostly everybody else said there is nothing that stands out on your page it just looks boring...
I was going for clean... I see to many jumbled websites out there. I want to keep mine simple. Although... like you have all said... I don't want it to be boring. What would help to add some appeal? Should I ditch the Blogspot layout all together? I really like the color scheme I have. What do you think?
Basically, if you are going to use a pre-made template make sure it's one that many people don't use and one that looks really good. Unfortunately that's hard to do on those free blogger sites. The content is great though like I said before. Just needs to be spiced up a little visually.
