I have created my new landing page for Adword and optimised it according to Google guideline hopefully. I would be interested in getting some feedback from fellow DP members on the following: 1) What Quality score you think I will roughly get from Google. 2) What further action I can take to improve my landing page. Landingpage Url: http://www.payasyougomobilephones.mobi/?p=43 I look forward to receiving you feedback. Thank you.
QS has two major parts: relevancy and CTR. Relevancy should be easy, in this case, variations on "Alcatel OT708 mobile phone". If you don't have relevancy, your QS will drop to as low as two. The relevancy portion accounts for about 25% of the score. About 65% of the score is your CTR compared to the historical CTR of the keyword. This is explained in more details in the Adwords FAQ. Google has the data so only them can tell you what your QS will be. Lastly, your landing page has to conform to the policies. That's the landing page quality which you can read about in What Google means by poor quality landing page. If you don't conform, your QS goes down to 1 which is the off switch. It doesn't appear like your page is finished. I assume your "visit store" button will go to the affiliate site. That might be considered a bridge page depending on where that will go to. Read Adwords guidelines and policies.
Hello Lucid, Thanks for you comments. You are absolutely correct to state that my “visit store" button on click will direct the visitors to either one of the following links: http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/buy/ALCATEL-OT-708-TMOB-WEB10 http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/mobiles/choose-tariff/ALCATEL-OT-708/PPAY/NEW Reading from the link you posted from www.examiner.com. I gather my page could be a bridge page? My question would be: 1) How I can differentiation between a Landing Page and a Bridge page. 2) Would Google penalise me for having a bridge page, if so what amendment I need to do, so that I don’t get punished. Please help.
Second link doesn't work. DNS failure which is a problem at the server side. From the link name, I'm guessing it's the order page. If so, I'd use that one. A bridge page (see policies) is "pages that act as an intermediary, whose sole purpose is to link or redirect traffic to the parent company". Which is exactly what you are doing in the first link. There is no value added to send the visitor to essentially another sales page for the same product. Bridge pages get slapped with a poor landing page quality rating for which your QS is set to 1, the off switch.
Hello Lucid Thank for the advise, before I setup a Adword campaign I will do more research. Anyway how much do you chargen to setup a Adword campaign?
