I have created this landing page http://www.backupmypcs.com/Backup_Windows_XP.htm and i wanted to know what people think. This is the first time I have created a landing page, Is it ok?? Does it have to much text on it?? Is there anything I can do to improve it?? Any feed back will be great. Thanks
It's not bad. Suggestions: - Make the title bigger, and stand out more. Perhaps give it a different background color. A logo might help. It looks a bit amateur now. - There is WAY too much stuff jostling for attention. The call to action (Buy now button) should be immediately obvious and draw your eyes. I suggest - instead of giving your headers different colors, put them in bold. Put some clear space around the "Buy now" button so you are drawn to it. Take out the confusing "Order Now" button (does it do something different?). Put the reassuring logos (PayPal, Softpedia) at the bottom of the page - right now they look like colorful buttons, which is confusing. - As you suspect, there is way too much text. Have an introductory paragraph, then main bullet points detailing what it can do (but not too many - 5/6 max). Then add a "Find out more" button for people who do want to read more - and have a clear "Buy Now" button on that new page too. - Your meta description tag is strange. It ends "Secure your most important" and then just cuts off. Take off those last 4 words. Having said all that, the page actually isn't too bad at all, especially for a first time attempt. Good luck with it.
You may have a good product, but you are not selling it enough, the screenshots look way outdated like as if they were using windows 2000, try some screenshots in Vista. And you should make your text go up and down in one column not just blobbed into one page. Look at some other pitch pages for examples, I think you can do this!
My eyes aren't sure where to go. Boil it down to 3-5 main bullet points - the ones at the top are good. You mention "special price." You should note what the usual price is. Kill the screenshot on the right. It's too small to be effective. Move your customer testimonials up to that space so they're above the fold.
