It's never a good idea to hold all your eggs in one basket. Also, forex is something that interests only a small group which means bought likes will be absolutely useless. I would try out FB ads though, but starting small.

I dont think any rise in traffic by spending money in facebook likes for increasing your clicks, instead you should try to spend in Google to attract more users.

When giving such a suggestion, can at least explain why it is a good idea?

Absolutely not. Most services that sell this will not offer organic likes (if they could, they would milk it themselves).
Even if somehow you receive organic likes, the reach of the posts you make will never exceed 10% of your likes (unless you do paid promotion, it gets really viral).

Gist: FB likes are only worth for bragging rights

I agree with this completely. With that kind of budget I would rather see ad dollars spent on Google ads.

Advertise through FB. Don't buy likes. My pages have gotten tons of likes through advertising and it's from people that keep coming back too.

Its better to post topics with viral content on your site and promote posts about these topics on FB.

getting likes won't be enough to monetize the traffic that you will most likely get to your site. If you have an offer, service or product then it is totally different. You can set up a campaign that will target prospective buyers and drive traffic to your landing pages or website offer page. This way it will be worth it to invest money in advertising as you will have the chance to not only cover your expenses but make a profit and increase that profit in time while optimizing the ads.

You haven't mentioned what your site/business does. A lot would depend on that. But I couldn't imagine any startup site needing $8000 worth of FB advertising. FB likes doesn't guarantee sales/ROI. Nor does traffic guarantee profit.
    Curious what your business does.

No not good. Its better to earn your likes than spending on it, from that followers would be much more reliable. You could also determine how people react to your site or product and in that way you could easily adjust.

Totally no. I would suggest thinking of what size your target audience is and what number would be already enough for them to trust your business. When you reach that number - stop wasting money, likes will not bring you as much profit as other marketing tools can.

Recommend you spend your money on FB ads vs FB likes. Run your campaign in Facebook, not with some outside source. Be sure to read the terms and conditions for advertising on FB.

You've got a huge advertising budget which is great!! Have you looked at other ways to drive paid traffic?

Please DO NOT buy Facebook likes! They outwordly admit that you will only get 2% organic engagement from the likes on your fanpage. Instead use Facebook "Dark Posts" to push them somewhere else like a landing page on your website that will first collect their email address and then try to sell them a product. Trust me! This really works! But DO NOT buy likes. That doesn't make business sense anymore...

In my experience, buy FBlike is great for the social "reputation" but won't increase your sales.

If you invest in Facebook Likes via Facebook, Then i would say it is a great idea.
But still, 80% is a lot, You should use some for Google Adwords for better exposure across different platforms.
If you buy likes from 3rd Party services, that's a waste, as those members won't engage as much to your page.
However, It just increases your LIKES number.
So, Go with the ones which suit you more.

If you don't have experience with Google adwords, it will be a waste of money!
