What tool do you use to check the geographic location of your visitors.. Better if you emphasize your target location on your site content.

    - Why did you think your website was in sandbox for over 5 months period?
    - You got image traffics because your images are competing with very low to none competitive keyword for those images.
    - Sandbox is still a myth in my opinion but I would call your website as being filtered from search results instead. It may not over yet

This extra traffic from a picture does not mean that you website is out of sandbox.

Google Sandbox, some are agree about the existence of it and some says it's a myth. But this is the fact that when we launched our website, it's not indexed instantly and never get ranking in SERPs at once.

Every site would take time to come up in the results. It's your efforts and depends on the quality of your work as in how much time you get ranking and results from your site. First of all check your tool as what tool you are using to check the visitors data, I suggest you to use Google analytics or Stat counter to get all the information about your site. You would be able to view the search query put in the google for that your site is coming in the Google results.

Work continuously and quality for your site, you would surely get global traffic.
