For the last week my CTR has been almost 10%. This seems unreasonably high. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm just worried that Google will review it and disqualify me or something, even though I'm not doing anything to drive clicks.
They'll not disqualify you for a high CTR. They'll do it for click fraud. If it's something unexpected, you may want to check if someone's sabbotaging you
10% is not overly high. My CTR is between 10 and 30% even though I only get 10-20 referrals a day at the moment. Some who receive hundreds or even thousands of referrals a day are getting around 10% in some nieches.
With the right sort of traffic and with the right layout, 20% or more is not suspect. Good place for traffic and layout information is Google itself. They would catch fraud by certain simple and complex patterns including IP related clicks (if you log into your account from an IP don't even think about clicking on your ads or your friends or your friends mom's ads). Always assume that Google is smarter than the smart bad guys around the world that are trying to cheat than assume that you are not as smart as the smart bad guys and you will be alrigtht.
Damn, you guys got me worried. Today my CTR jumped to 22.2% for one channel and 12.5% on another; same site. From ~3%! Visitor stats shows a guy with a locked referrer (17 pages) and one other guy without any referrer (3 pages). Sabotage? Since I use StatCounter (Analytics, let me in please) I made screenshots of those stats and saved them. Dunno, guess I'll wait a bit to see how it turns out... EDIT: AdSense report updated itself: 1. channel - 25% 2. channel - 9.1% hmmm
Yea, I guess. I have saved a draft with my stats. Going to wait a bit and take a closer look at my stats for a while.
