Is my content legal? Time Critical Responses Needed!

Hi, I purchased a site about three weeks ago. The site is the video game rental site in my signature. The problem is I found a site video-game-rentals-review.upickreviews[dot]com/ which looks like it has a lot of duplicate content. The upickreviews site has been up longer and has the common theme across many other topics which shows me that the site I purchased is the copycat. It has the same images and a lot of the same written content. I have two questions.

    1. Is this a violation of copywrite which can get me in trouble?
    2. If so, would this be difficult to dispute through paypal?

I only have a week to know before paypal can't host a dispute. Any info would be great.

    Thanks.

If the content is copied and the layout and images are copied then this could get you into trouble in the future. Best to be on the safe side and lodge the dispute with paypal and get an original site made.

If all your content is duplicate, it is kinda pointless to keep the site. That will only end up bad with SEO and such. I would file a complaint, but I am willing to bet you will lose the dispute. Paypal is silly with stuff like that. I mean technically he delivered something for the money.

Yes, even though you didn't violate the copyright on your own, it's still actionable. Best that you dispute the site with paypal right away.

The layout is similiar, but if you creator used a free template to make the site then too sites having it won't be an issue. You need to check over the text content of the site and see how similiar the sites are. If your site has copied content then yes you would be violating copyright laws. Even if the content isn't copied you can still ask for a refund from the seller.

So, looking at the two sites and ignoring the text content, can this site get hit for plagiarism? If so, how can it be proven that this is copied and not unique. That's the real question. I'm in the middle of changing the text now to clear me of copyscape.
