I have been accused of having blogs that are too "busy". My music blog, 124 Beats Per Minute has never gotten great reviews here, but traffic is good, and my email box is full everyday with press, review requests, and new releases, and contest....so, no since in changing. The Mansfield Herald, is the one in question. I can't just write a one subject, one post blog...too much to talk about. Is it too busy? To hard to follow or navigate? Too many subject matters? Your humble opinions please.
Honestly, that's a normal site. I like portal style that comprehensive detailed and lot of fun is your blog. I think the title placement on today's feature make me feel crowded. Overall I enjoy how each and every information is connected.
Definatly one of the nicer joomla templates and you put it to great use im sure your sites successfull Great work wish i had the time to put that much content on my website
It looks serious and professional, like every newspaper should do. I like it. If you take an eye on important other newspapers, also the really great ones, you'll see that all of them are crowded. I like the look of your blog. PS: i don't know how is the quality of your content, this is only a visual review, but you have to care the content as much as the appearance.

Yes the content.....so many categories and just one writer is a challenge (that I didn't think about beforehand), especially since this is not my only blog, but it's going now, so I am committed. I appreciate all the good comments, critiques are welcome as well, that's how we all get better.
I think it looks good too, though if it were mine I would be inclined to put the main story column in the middle of the other two. I just feel like you have to be losing readers/interest as they go all the way across the to the third column after they have already seen the main stories in the first column. That was my initial reaction anyway. If you are seriously worried about optimizing it get CrazyEgg and see what you can figure out.
