Is my AdSensible?

    Hi all,

Just updated my site with AdSense :) . Please could you give me some feedback, thanks?

    www.squidlinks.com

Is the placement ok? Do image towers work better than text?

I've got a .NET menu on the left. It redirects to a calculated grid page. The ads on these pages all seems to be ".NET grid" related etc! How could I improve the ads and make them more targeted, ideally relating to the category that is selected? Someone has suggested that I place a description of each section on the page - i've got a title but is this enough?

    Thanks for any help

    The right ad looks ok.
In the left menu you could place a link ad
also under the right upper menu you could place a link ad

Ads on the left normally perform better than ads on the right

    my 2 cents:
    1. why do you use javascript postback for your menu ? use <a href> ...
CMIIW, SEs do not traverse javascript, do they ?

    2. use 336x280 ad format above/below your grid links ...

use 336x280 in the central column, above the grid

put one 160x600 on the left with a 160x90 adlink above it.

put a 728x90 adsense just below your header OR a small ad with blue background on the left of your logo.

Not sure if SEs traverse javascript - I used a .NET menu control since it was easy at the time. Does anyone else have a view on this please?

Thanks for all your suggestions regarding placement etc - I'll update the site soon :D

PS Do image ads work well?

Never mind search engines, what happens if I don't have JavaScript enabled?

I would definately change that to be a series of list items.

I too wondered why you are not using units on the left.

I've just updated my site a little but I haven't finished yet.

How much AdSense is too much? I want my site www.squidlinks.com to be a fun place to visit. Surely too many (especially the large ones suggested) is a bad thing that will put off most visitors?
