is msn still tweaking its algo?

    last week:
    this week:
    i am #1 of 9.5million for sexual health advice, no change.
    #2 of 20 million for sexual advice, up 3 places.
    #40 of 25.3 million for sexual health. up 99 places.
    i had 800+ backlinks last week, this week i have 31 backlinks on msn.
    a huge drop huh?
    i have been away for a week so i have not worked on my site at all.
    question? with a huge drop in BL's, how come my site has jumped 100 places for "sexual health" and 3 places for "sexual advice"?
    i also note that a lot of the spam sites have drop out the picture, but the number of sites has gone up to.

    I think you'll find alot of your own internal links aren't accounted for as much on MSN (not to say they dont have any weight on rankings) But that is a huge drop all the same...

    Algorithm's will continuosly be tweeked by all search engines as webmasters try to exploit them.

    I think they launched too early. Lots of tweaking going on. Some of the generic searches come up with unrelated results. I do hope they don't tweak too much because I'm ranking quite nicely at the moment.

    I think with top SE's there always tweaking ... and for MSN to even come close to G .. they need to keep tweaking and tinkering.

    When has Microsoft ever had somthing ready by it's launch date ;)
    I still think we're a few months off seeing MSN search anywhere close to being finished. There will always be algorithim tweaks though.

    For my site MSN is eating up ALL my pages on my site
    its amazing
    Google was king
    here are my results

    google
    [size=-1]Results 1 - 10 of about 651 from supportcave.com

    yahoo[/size]Results 1 - 10 of about 869 for site supportcave com

    MSN
    1-9 of 2,101 containing site:supportcave.com

    And my ranking on msn & yahoo are great as well

    for my site the new MSN is amazing
    but i still get more traffic on yahoo then MSN....
