Is MSN Search a Lab Experiment?

I'm confused by the search results I see at MSN.

Several of my keywords appear in the top position at:
    http://search.msn.co.uk
    http://search.msn.co.in
    http://www.arabia.msn.com

Those same keywords used to appear in the top 3 positions, but now appear on pages 4+ at:
    http://search.msn.com

Does MSN use their main site as a testing ground before rolling changes out to other parts of the world? Or should I expect that some sites will always rank wildly differently among the different MSN engines?

    Thank you.

I think you would rank differently on msn for other courtiers. I know that this happens in google so it probably also happens on msn.

That is often the case- especially with newer sites. How old is your site?

That UK msn seems to give priority to UK sites which makes sense. The main MSN gives priority to keyword stuffed URLs which doesn't make any sense.

    Uhhh, no. Actually you're wrong.

    I have many US-based sites turning up #1, #2 or #3 in msn.co.uk, msn.de, msn.ca...etc...

Ther sites to which I am referring are all US-based and are approximately 6 months old.

I would not even of noticed had I not started investigating after my rankings in MSN went into free-fall the past month.

I found it surprising that US-based sites would continue to rank well in non-US engines while virtually disappearing in the US engine.

It appears the 3 MSN engines I referenced at the start of this thread are using the same or similar algos, while the US one has changed substantially.

Well to me its always cannot find server. Whenever I try to search for something in it. It depends on luck. Sometimes the server is found and sometimes it's not.
