You can make money, but you can make 10 to 20 times more from Google traffic.

    It's not money :)
Once I had one of my sites on the first age in MSN for "easy money" (don't know if it's still there lol), but all I got few visitors a day...

I may be wrong about this: but honestly from what I've seen, Google gives about 30-40 times the traffic for the same keyword that msn gives you.

Have to agree. I get a lot more traffic from google than MSN. BUT I have seen MSN traffic rise quite a bit in the last six months. I think most people that use MSN are not tech savvy, so the market you are in will have a lot to do with the kind of traffic you get from them. IHMO

I.E. MSN traffic for tech stuff is probably very little compared to other areas.

I've heard that before too... my main site is a music related site which is #1 for it's keywords in MSN, and #5 in Google for it's keywords... but I only get about 1 or 2 daily uniques from Google and about 25+ from MSN. This could be very true.

Yeah, I just did a comparison and Google did 441 hits to MSN 60 and get this Yahoo did 28 hits.. All for the same term in the top three results of those search engines. I was #1 in Yahoo, #2 in MSN and #3 in Google.

For me it's like, MSN gives me visitors for just one term Where I'm on the first page and in google my site is on the hmmm 30th page lol
But google gives me more visitors due to other keywords ;)

I'm on messenger with a friend of mine who just told me that his Yahoo! traffic has been dropping drastically lately without the rankings going down. I recall Yahoo! being way busier than msn. Could it be that msn is growing in searches and that former Yahoo! users are migrating over there?

(If anyone has some resources or info on something, feel free to share it :) )

I am guessing that Yahoo searchers are moving to Google or MSN.

It's either that or their Yahoo! Publishers' Network is where the traffic is moving towards :)

I use to be a yahoo user, because it felt easier to type yahoo.com than google.com, but then a few months ago I had figured out that I find sites better with google, so i had switched to them.

I look at my website now, and i get a lot of visitors, mostly from Google and direct links I have on websites. Then I get very few like 10% from MSN, and I have not gotten 1 single visitor from yahoo. Perhaps because i didn't submit to yahoo?

In google im ranked #1 for about 20 keywords. #2 for about 15 more. Or i'm usually on first page. And i always thought yahoo and google lead the way, but yahoo barely indexes me, only once a month, while msn spams me everyday, and google comes every week.

So I guess yahoo just is getting wtfpwned.

I think Google has a lot more traffic, if you can get to the first page, than MSN, but MSN rewards legitimate page optimization.

Someties G doesn't make sense with what makes their top page.

Google is continuing to dominate and while Yahoo gives crap results, searchers will go where they find the most relevant results.

MSN is not a joke to me...I have a celebrity women blog and MSN routinely 'toptens' (I just created a word) me for almost any woman I choose to feature. Not much traffic though, but then again that blog does not get much traffic from anywhere.
