Is moving blogroll from home page good or bad SEO?

    Hi all,

I want to upgrade my well established wordpress site to a new fancy template. In this makeover process I need to consider what to do with my large blogroll. It would be nice to move to it's own page as the new homepage (currently PR 6) needs the space it takes. But I wonder if it could hurt me in some way SEO wise to move the blogroll to it's own page? I know it may take my bargaining power away for link exchanges in the future but I am not worried about that. Really appreciate if you experts out their can share your thoughts please!! Thanks for reading!!

The point is to have other sites link to you, not the other way around. So it will not hurt you at all. If you use your blogroll just to have related sites on it, consider dropping those sites unless they are paid links. With a PR6 you could gain some good money by selling links.

It will be a benefit to your homepage in terms of Pagerank, however it will probably have an effect on the sites your linking too, if your working out link exchanges I would make sure that the others don't mind you doing this.
