Is moving a blog from blogger to wordpress will have bad effect?

    Is moving a blog from blogger to wordpress(self hosted) will have bad effect?

    like on SEO and other things, coz Blogger beta blogs doesn't validates. :(

    WordPress has more potential - more user functionality and makes a more professional looking blog. On the negative, unless your Blogger is own your own domain, you'll likely lose a lot of backlinks during the transition.

    my site netalien.biz is on blogger do you think it would be good idea to move to wordpress and own hosting instead of blogger I donot earn any thing from my blog still now site is 6 month old please help
