i have found some movie domain names. do they have any value. then how much does it worth. just like "SpiderMan-3"

if i use dases with the movie domain, does it drop the value?

also, it only values .com or does it have a value in .info

Probably do have some value, but they'll all be trademarks I would think. Could cause complications.

True, all movie-related domain names will be always at risk if you try to make money from them, the only exception could be running non-profit fan sites and even then it's unpredictable what the trademark owners think about.

It's no massive loss though. Worse-case senario, they will send you a cease and desist order, which means that you have to shut down your site.

If you have made more that you paid for it by then, you have made money - so I say, go for it :D

I do agree with the rest about the sticky issue of trademarks. For the most parts, you probably cannot make use of the names in any variants especially if you are riding on their popularity.

When in doubt, contact the trademark owners and find out what your options are. Most probably it is best just to let them be and not take those domain names up.

Of course, if you register a domain name like 'traffic.com', the producer of 'Traffic' probably cannot do anything as it is a generic dictionary word.

Yes, it would be a problem. If you want to use it legally, check with Sony Entertainment about it.

Absolutely adding a "-" will lower it's value. You might have TM issues as well.

Except if it shows ads of products of that trademark.
