Is moneybookers allowed in India? I need to open a account in moneybookers and I am from India. Are Indian banks accept money from moneybookers? if yes then how many banks in India accept moneybookers? What is the procedure for that? I need this info in details. Thanks for your help on advance.
Hey Lover DP, Moneybookers are payment processors as Paypal. Yes they allow India to be a part of their Network. To withdraw from moneybookers you need to have a SWIFT Code which the bank officials will provide you with. this is because moneybookers will send you wire transfer from UK not like Paypal who sends NEFT payments from Inside India. Each bank that is connected with SWIFT can easily accept your money from Moneybookers provided that you enter the original SWIFT code. I would say that you go with HDFC Bank Accounts as the customer care really helps in case of HDFC Bank and you would easily get money from Moneybookers.
Thanks for you response. Mate I have account in ICICI bank. Will it be ok if I use ICICI bank? If yes what is the SWIFT code of ICICI bank or is it related to branch by branch.
I am not from India but moneybookers supports India and if you have account in any bank you need its branch swift code as swift code is different for all branches .. you can search it online via swift directory and i read some people from India here using ICICI bank so i hope its 0k to use it.. Thanks PHYza
Loads of people from India seem to use it, and it is in their list of accepted countries, so you should have no issues.
Thanks guys for your reply.+rep to all That means I can use ICICI bank. Can you tell from where I can find swift code? One more question. Is it necessary to match the moneybookers account name with my bank account name to withdraw the funds? Thanks
Visit your ICICI Bank's website for the swift code or make a simple call to them. Yes it is necessary that your bank account name should be the same with moneybookers account name otherwise you won't be able to receive the money.
just be careful with moneybookers. Your bank must have a direct SWIFT code to receive money without problem. Unfortunately only main branches of indian banks in metro cities have that facility. I believe SBI is the best for moneybookers as most of them have direct SWIFT codes.
yes you can use it but they dnt accept users from the US so if you are looking to get payments from US thats not the option you are looking for but it can be used in india
its posible in india bcs paypal working worldwide there servics , paypal r connected to indian banks .so easy any money to easiest.
I am not able to fine the swift code. Can any one help me to find it out? ICICI bank. Branch:-- Thane (Maharashtra) can any find the code for me? Thanks.
I searched it online bt there was no online swift code given for any of Maharashtra branch .. You can call your bank and find it out as its not given online ..You can check it on Swift directory but its not given there
Then that means the bank is not directly connected to SWIFT network. You will need ask your bank branch on how to receive a SWIFT transfer. I believe they would give the SWIFT code of nearest icici branch in your city to re-route the payment. You can also visit this site: http://indian-banks.info (some info useful there)
They don't even have any ICICI branch's swift code listed in Maharashtra city .. If you call your bank they will give you a swift code for some main branch or you can check your bank statement too
It is hard to find out as none of the customer care executives are trained to tell us BIC or SWIFT code if you are from small town. In case you are from Metros then you can easily get the SWIFT Code. Like this from Mumbai..
Hey guys, BIC and Swift code is same or different? And I have talk to my bank office manager he has told me that swift code is not related to branch. It is only related to currency? Is it true?
