I want to hear the answer from the "non-confused non-lawyer". A reasonable number of 'confused lawyers' globally are watching this space wanting an explanation. We will probably find one on warrior.
Would help if you rephrased the question - what exactly do you want to know? From what I make of it, it is legit for Microsoft to register it but since it is a trademark Microsoft can claim it from you (if you manage to register it) Hope this is what you were looking for.
Well we were kind of hoping that mjewel could guide us Lawyers on this one. There is a lot of money riding on this, but appreciate your advice anyway. We are looking for a self-proclaimed "over-qualified" person like mjewel.
I will not want you as my lawyer Google and Microsoft are domains maintained by legit companies and not by the mafia.
We suspected that this may have been the case, however given that mjewel thinks that lawyers are confused, and suggested we not call ourselves 'professionals', we thought we had better confirm with an "overqualified" person if this was the case. Although you don't have the credentials mjewel has in his bio we trust you are probably correct on this one.
It sounds like you are using some kind of translator to respond or talk in this forums. I have no clue about what you talking about nor i have any desire to continue responding. Good luck Lawyer!
NO problem. We find Warrior a more pleasant place to be. There is a total lack of decency shown by some persons who use this forum, namely mjewel who brings the whole forum down.
Like I said earlier, your question is not clear - what do you want to know exactly?? ' Irrespective of where you ask the question here or there you will find the same reply - "can you repeat the question please.." because if I cannot understand you then I cannot give you an answer. You are asking if microsoft.com is a legit name to register - how can you register it if it is already registered? And who is mjewel? I thought I missed something and I went through the whole thread but cannot find any mjewel - When you ask a confusing question, how can you expect people to be 'non-confused', please ask a clearer question.
yes microsoft.com or google.com are legimate domain names. as they are having exact company names without any typos for phishing domains
Of course it is. I know that. Fair enough. You didn't see the context. It is pretty simple really. There are some forums which have a great community. I thought this is was one of them. However sometimes you just come across a jerk. They are in all forums. You missed the previous discourse between mjewel and myself. mjewel is like no other jerk I know and rubbed me up the wrong way, not to mention insulted my colleagues by suggesting we remove the word 'professional' from our website. I think he has an attitude problem. I think its pretty silly and shortsighted to judge or stereotype an entire profession. He seems to have it in for the legal profession. So I asked an oxymoron question for the 'expert' mjewel who has all the answers. He held himself out as being so "overqualified" and has been "in many IP cases". I respect that as many self-represented and other non legal persons do become more knowledgeable in some areas of law than Lawyers. However there is a limit to insulting juvenile remarks. I invited him to give me a scorecard on victories/losses and we could compare them with our team here. But he never responds to those invitations and merely likes to flame and defame. Maybe you missed the relevant threads. Fair enough. Making disparaging remarks directed only at me is something I can handle that but when those remarks extend in their impact to those I work and collaborate with I take umbrage at that. Don't know what his problem is but its not mine (ours) If he thinks the entire legal profession is dimwitted, arrogant and "confused" compared to his "overqualified" self and wishes to make personal remarks such as this, that is his problem. If he wishes to say that 2 people with combined experience of years in academia and practice are not 'professionals' and demand they remove the word professionals from their website, he is just an idiot.
