Is Mata tag keyphrase is requied even when u have Keyword tag

    Hi Guys I found website which as meta tag as keyphrase where normally every website have Keywords,Title,Descreption etc .. My quation is is it gone help if we add or is it mandatory as SEO point of view or ist it spam???:confused:

    It is not needed, the only meta tags you really need to use is the "description" tag and "keyword" tag for some of the other engines. All other meta tags you can leave out. I have a write up here which will explain to you the different meta tags and what they are.

    using meta tags and keywords will help you to get better rankings.

    google ignores meta tags for serp but you can get better ranking on the others

    I think he met about the meta tag:

    <META NAME="keyphrase" CONTENT="keywords here ">

    which is not needed. You can just use these two if you like. Google does not read the keyword tag, however yahoo still does.

    <META NAME="description" CONTENT="site description here ">
    <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="keywords here ">

    You don't need the "meta keywords" tag at all, but make sure you have the "meta description" one.
