For example, if you are part of the marketing/sales team for large fortune 500 company and you secure a large contract you will probably make a ton of cash and prizes. As for internet marketers? I think it varies greatly. Many people have this common misconception that because you are making money online its going to be as easy as playing farmville. They usually find that this is just like any other business and stop taking action--equaling their failure.
