Is Lycos worth Paying to submit to?

    http://directory.lycos.co.uk/ - thinking of using the paid submission at €116 as the free review supposedly takes 8 months

    Looking for strong backlinks/not traffic. So does anyone have any experience whether its worth it seo wise?

    They offer

    Admission into the Web catalogs Sharelook, Lycos, Triwdata, Apollo7 and further... with title of the Website, a short description your place and 10 important search words,

    It is a directory that google crawls so you should get some link quality, but I don't think it is worth the money

    I don't think its worth it because its just too expensive, then again you do get some good backlinks as you said.

    It's expensive and not well known. I'd rather submit to Yahoo even if it's pricier.
