In the Indian context I think love marriage is not easy because there is cast bar, class bar and money bar also. Now a day we are hearing a news on love marriage on west Bengal, Rizwanur. Rizwanur was a Muslim guy and belonged with middle class family and Priyanka was a girl of business man. I am not saying to compromise with love marriage but having love marriage necessary thing is you are ready to fight all the tradition and society else you will be lost your live like Rizwanur.
Only your fact doesn't work here. In this society another factor is working also. You should read Rizwanur's story which is in this forums. You will be known how all the factor works on you.
Rizwanur's case showed the bad power of religion on society. All religions preach peace. But in practice they create hatred against other religions. That is the reason why religions suck. Check the article on honor killing from my signature link, which is about the same topic.
So what should be with that society which create hatred against human. I think the case is not much related with religion it is with power of money.
