Is live streaming illegal ?

    Hello.

    I am planning to start a live streaming website. I will just link to the sources and not directly host any of the content.
    I live in India so can anyone tell me is it legal to make a live streaming website ?

    It's illegal if you plan on streaming television programmes, as in many cases a license is required to legally view the programme, and providing a way around that license by steaming the video content online is illegal.

    Streaming content you hold the rights for isn't illegal (a video you made).

    If you have permission (in writing from the copyright owner) to stream the content you stream it's legal, otherwise it's not.

    If all you're doing is providing links to the sites of the copyright owners, where they stream content that they own, it's completely legal. You can post a link to any site.
