Is linking to copyright/trademark videos hosted on veoh,tube... illegal in US/Canada?

    hello there,

    I wonder if linking to copyright/trademark videos hosted on veoh,tube... illegal in US/Canada?

    The reason is i am about the start a video site which index (embed) movies/ music videos from youtube, veoh, dailymotion... And i am not sure if it is okie in USA or CANADA? No actual files are hosted on the server, they are hosted by youtube, veoh....

    What do you guys think?

    Yes, linking to copyrighted content is illegal in the US/Canada. Some youtube videos are uploaded by content owners however so linking to them may be permitted.

    How about Netherlands? Is it okie?

    I've seen many warez sites are hosted there.

    In the netherlands I don't think so, as long as the copyright says they cannot be displayed or something along those lines.

    I recall someone having something to do with warez (copyright violation) sites in the nethrlands and they still got into legal trouble.

    Smoking weed in public is still illegal in the Netherlands.

    It's only legal in coffee shops,hotels that permit and private premises.

    If you get caught in the streets with a spliff or any other kind of drug related smoke, then expect to receive a fine.

    It is not warez, it is videos sharing site collected from youtube, veoh.. which uploaded and share by users around the world. Would it be problem too?
