From what I understand, it is only if the keywords you are targeting are in the url itself.

It is a good idea to vary your links because that is naturally how they would occur so Google expects it

so. Ideally the bulk of your links should have the anchor text of the keywords you are targetting plus there should be some variations

using http://www.link.com periodically is a good idea

Search engines look not only at the number of links you have but also their history and their diversity. For example if 90% say "cheap used cars" it will raise a lot of eyebrows. When doing a link building campaign your history and diversity of links must look natural, so using your domain name or url might be a good thing as most users will just copy paste it, and not think about anchor text. I am not saying to use your domain or brand name all the time, it is just that your backlinks must look natural.

Links like this will look natural. Just mix them with real anchor text links and google will love your site.

Anchor text helps search engines "contextualize" the link - gives them an indication what its about and determines its relevance. Definitely helpful.

Vary the anchor text, also the page on your site the links go to - don't just link to your home page.
Also vary the type of sites you get links from. Just make everything look natural.

It works for some domain not every. But its recommended to used anchor text instead of simple URL, to get better rank in SERP.

All links are good, but anchor links will help you to rank for that keyword.

It would be better if you make use of an anchor link so that if someone would search for your keyword, your site would appear.. Using anchor links in backlinks increases your chance to be on the first page of the search results for that particular keyword..

The title attribute in a link isn't worth much. If you're going to use it, use it to provide additional info on what the link is for. An example would be on a site menu for a renovated theater. "Shows" would have a title attribute that says "Upcoming Theater Productions" while "Events" would state that it's the page/section for things like weddings, live radio broadcasts, political debates, and so forth.

All backlinks is good but anchor text will help search engine know what your website is relevant. So you will get high rank for that words.

It's been said but having your keyword in your url will be best. You can always have your keyword a subdomain name eg. keyowrd.link.info And make sure to link all your internal pages together and to your home page.

So it's to my advantage to go http://site.com instead of just "keyword" if my site is my keyword? Makes sense. I mix it up almost every day. I try to use straight up keyword when possible, but sometimes I just use anchor text that will get my backlink built instead of potentially turned down.
