is link from content related site much better then not related?

    Lets say,
    that my site is about cats, and I want improve SERP.

    how good is for example, link from PR4 site about tea(not content related to mine), and how good is link from simillar PR4 site, but about cats (content related).

    Is link from content related site much better, then from not-related?

    If site is not related it does not offer as much. Sites related to your site help the most so try to get thise links.

    The more links from related sites the better you will do.
