Is Link Exchange still important for Google?

    Hi,

    I want to ask is two way links or link exchange with relevant sites still important for Google? i am working on my personal sites but i dont want to do link exchange can i get good ranking without link exchange??

    I think it's OK to get a few links exchanges but you certainly cannot rank for anything competitive on link exchanges alone. It helps to get one-way links within content.

    Link exchange is OK if your can get relevant backlinks from it. But, still one way link is better.

    If the links account for only some small parts of your links, they are great but exchange links with care, attention and with websites that are relevant to yours plus the links are better be placed on not too crowded pages.

    Build a second site and trade from that site instead the value of a 3 way or truely one way link far outstrips that of a reciprocal.

    However, bear in mind that the 'write great content and people will link to you" is NOT true for most commercial markets.

    Today you have to inovate and really break some backs to acheive good serps.

    Consider strategically buying some links to give yourself a boost.

    Article distribution can work well in its rawest form but you should also consider writing articles specifically for websites in your niche.

    Contact them and offer to provide the content just for a link or two in the article.

    You will be supprised how many will take you up, most webstes are worried about dupplicate copy NOT linking out.

    If you are going to try this also consider ringing them personally. Your take uprate will be far greater using this technique.
