Is Link Directory Submitter a useful tool?

    Hi i am trying to find the best way in terms of time and effectiveness to generate links to my sites. I have heard many people talk about ' The Link Directory Submitter' i was wondering if it is a worthwhile tool and does it show results?

    with using such automatic tools, you're not 100% sure about the quality,status and relevancy of the sites. I still prefer manual submission
