Im just wondering if sumiting to directorys and such is still importent in building SERPs. Anyone know if its still the best way to do it? Any answers are great. Thanks.
submitting to directories is not a problem in my opinion.. problem comes when you've got a directory and you want to sell links
I think good established directories are still good. Having a couple of extra links will surely NOT harm your site.
in my opinion, link building is good if your link is going on sites that are of a similar theme, and offer value to people who may happen to click on it.
Yes, submitting to directories still helps specially if the directories contains quality sites. It means it is quality directories.
Link building is very important. To improve SERP it is one of the important things tht's need to be done
It still is important, but having unique content and natural backlinks from related and trusted sites is becoming more and more important.
The submissions to the directories can help your anchor text as long as the directories don't have google penalty issues.
Submission are good as long as the pages you are submitting to have good PR. I had many links in directories and after recent PR change, all those directories lost a lot of PR bringing my listing down in SERP. So you have to watch out what you pay for or submit it for free.
Yes, I agree that Link building is important. But links from directories don't have much value, although it doesn't harm. Its important that you get links from authority sites and not from where everyone can get it (I mean easy links like directories).
Links are what makes the net go round, and hence link building will always be important. The more visibility a site has the better. Targeted Directory submissions are still very important.
