Is lack of content/articles holding back your AdSense earnings?

I've been away from the forum for half a year. Looking over some posts for the last few hours and I am reminded that I should read some more here.

I do have a question for everyone:

Is lack of content/articles holding back your AdSense earnings? If not, then what is holding people back?

I have been trying to figure out what has prevented me from taking the next step with AdSense earnings myself.

Yes. Lack of content can certainly hold back you earnings. If you want clicks you need to have something that will keep people on your page long enough for them to eventually click your ads or browse a link unit. You also need to give the adsense bot enough to work with in hopefully generating relevant ads.
Although the bot sometimes gets it wrong. Witness the Satan worship and occult links on one of my religious pages that was warning about Satan and cults. I had to remove adsense from there as it wasn't earning anyway.

I don't know if lack of content affects the earnings directly; I thought it affected your getting incoming links and therefore your place in SERPs.

For most webmasters it's for want of more traffic rather than for want of more content... though extra content never hurts

content really affects earning. if your content is bad for Adsense, then you'll probably earning nothing. if you have no content then there will be no ads to be displayed. And if you have nonsense content then your site will have no visitor and if there will be no visitor there will be no one who will click your ad. If no one will click your ad, then you'll be tempted to click it by your self and get banned forever/

Content drives traffic. They go hand in hand. You need one to get the other. The more you add (in an easy to navigate fashion) and the more exclusive the conent is, the more it's going to drive traffic.

    Content = Traffic = Earnings

    >> Content drives traffic

Other factors drive traffic too and content is not indispensable . If a site has to have content to exist wouldn't Google.com have died a long time ago?

Um hate to burst your bubble people but content=content

I dont know where people get the stupid idea the content=earnings or content=money or content=traffic becasue it doesn't. I have seen blogs with 100+ pages of hand typed stuff not a single comment or maybe one or two. Now you think that if those blogs were bustling with visitors with all that content that more than one or two people would post a comment? And we all know that you cant earn adsense revenue without actual visitors. So those blogs aren't earning a single cent with adsense even with tons of content...

What matters is getting search engines to index your pages for terms PEOPLE ACTUALLY SEARCH FOR. Wow who would have thought? Maybe thats why 99 percent of you people can't make real money with adsense.

So is it content with terms that people are search for? Is that what you are suggesting?

    Sincerely,

    James

No not really. If you type in any one work keyword you will find a bunch of serps and stuff. What is important is getting listed in the engines under terms people actually search for. Even if you have only have 5 pages of content you will get 10000000 times more traffic if you are in the top 10 than a 4567665 page site that deosn't get get indexed properly or is indexed for very obscure terms no one will ever search for or is indexed in a crappy searhc engines.
