Hi, I was just wondering if keyword density still works for Google, Yahoo! or Bing? I've read here in DP that keyword density is an OLD STORY and is not important for optimizing content. Thanks,
well, why take the risk ? As long as u have sufficient keywords in ur article, why do u need to stuff it further ?
I disagree... write something with good keywords still SEO 101.. off site factor is more important nowadays if that is the advise you are getting from your readings
Thanks for the response. askHWH's, I was only asking about the rule when SEOs use to keep density from 3-7%. I never wrote anything about KW stuffing!!! webbmaster, I am unable to track the answer of my question from your reply; My question was about KEYWORD DENSITY??? Thanks for replying, keep helping...
I have seen websites LOADED with keywords to the point of even hiding the text with a similar background. I know of one in paticular that does this and gets good ranking on some of its keywords. Personelly I wouldnt want to risk hiding text but it makes you wonder why sites like that dont get flagged for blatent keyword spam
Google reveals such primitive tactics and punish them at last. If your competitor use this tactic, you can Report Spam Result to Google. PS Just Google "Report Spam Result" to find out how.
you stil need to have the kw in your title and content. but those old days of using the kw 100 times in the content is over. now 1%-2% kw density is good enough. if you over do it, then u will get penalized for keyword spam
The density of the targeted keywords should be around 1-7%. It will affect you negatively if you overuse a keyword, that is, more than 7%. If there is any difference between 2% and 4% I don't know.
Thanks sultanofseo, I was looking forward to read such replies with 1-2% density. Now I'll make sure to use a keyword density between 1-2%... I was curious to know about this density thing because of one of my site. I mean my site was just launched and in only 2-3 months; it's on TOP Google ranking on few of my primary keywords. The thing that surprised me was the density I used in my site; which was not even 3%. Anyway, wish me luck and thanks again...
