Hi DP guys, this is my first thread and I am new to SEO world. Please forgive me if anything wrong goes. With my very small experience in the field, I found there are off-page and on-page optimizations. In on-page, I tried to rank many keywords, but really don't have proper clue how effectively it can be done. Are there effective tools and sites for this?
Keyword research is one of the most important aspects of on-page search-engine optimisation of a website. Here are a few free SEO tools that I suggest: SEOdigger - A great tool to determine the top natural rankings of your website and your competitor's; Google AdWords Keyword Tool - A great tool to get an estimate of the monthly search volume. Use this tool to determine the popular keywords that you want to rank your webpage for; SEO Book's Keyword Suggestion Tool - A great tool to use if you run out of keywords to think of; SEO Book's Search Engine Ranking Checking Tool - A great to tool to monitor the ranking of your website for a given keyword.
It is indeed one of the most important thing in SEO world. It could mean everything that you need and want to target for your site. My favorite tool in KW research is the 2nd tool posted by LawnchairLarry. Easy and I guess really informative results to base your kW research.
using keywords effectively have been proven to improve your search engine optimization game. By optimizing your webpages with the first keyword bid which I could come up high for on the search engines. If you're using a website make sure you target your niche factor with that particular keyword directly in the title tag.

I think keyword research is the most important thing in SEO. in order to get targeted keywords, you should be able to find the right keywords.
dcristo I agree with you 100% using to three keywords that is the main focus and a good strategy for a newcomer to search engine optimization. I have a question for you dcristo? if you're targeting one specific keyword on the home page of a website then should that phrase be listed in the title tags keywords or metadata meeting would that keyword be something that you would oversee and use as a keyword phrase? targeting to three keywords per page is definitely something that a search engine optimizer would work into his website and blog pages. If you're trying to target search engine relevancy than put that in your title tags and write that whole homepage about search engine relevancy
Welcome to the wonderful word of SEO. You are on the right track and asking the right questions. LawnchairLarry gave some really good links that should help you to get started. Good Luck!
If you want to rank multiple keywords, it is better to make multiple pages and every pages concentrate on one keywords.
this is unhealthy observation of how not to do keyword research. Keyword research and metadata applications and to a website probably about 90% of search engine traffic and people following you.'... even though you're not a webmaster it would seem highly likely unlikely that you would want to learn or try to learn how to build websites.. Search engine optimization for Yahoo and MSN and Google.com is truly the search window
keyword ads and search engine optimization definitely help boost the rank of websites keyword metadata search engine relevancy and thinking equal to the meaning of keyword phrases and so forth..
