I have downloaded Joomla and got 2 pages of files, but no instruction on how or where to start. Will anyone that the time to let me, and others know how to set up Joomla on their home computer?

The download page contains a full page of downloads and updates. Do you have to download each of these or is one of the flles complete with all updates?

Will it handle and publish keyword sensitive news feeds?

Usually with joomla you just upload the files via the admin panel by selecting to add either a new component, mambot or module.

It depends on what your files are called.

I am not really understanding the question... are you trying to set up Joomla on your local machine or are you setting it up on a web host? Does your web host use cPanel by any chance?
