I was referred to http://www.marketingrebel.com/ as a good program for copywriting. The guy who runs it is John Carlton. Anyone ever used this program? Any thoughts on it? It's $299 and I am trying to figure out if it's worth it. FYI: I'm not promoting the site, it's a genuine question unlike some of the other posts I find on DP.
I would assume so but I can't say for sure. You can check the copywriting board. http://copywritingboard.com/ They'd know for sure since I suspect people there have either used it or participated in its creation.
When looking at any program you need to fist ask whether or not it addressees what you want to do. I'm not addressing this particular product with this statement, but many "cash sucking" copywriting courses I've seen are geared toward a particular cliental. The same copywriters who can thrive in "make money" markets fall face flat in more affluent markets---and vise versa. Does this product deal with the type of copywriting you wish to engage in? Is it below your level (unlikely to learn anything)? If it's above your level, does it start at your level and guide you along the way? Are you the type of person that needs steps to follow to get anywhere and if so, does this product do that? And on and on . . . . A complete course on copywriting doesn't exist and never will because it would be larger than the freaking U.S. tax code. For instance, I'm currently reading more on the brain's functionality, how it operates and so forth. That alone is hundreds of pages and it's just a taste of info in that area. So just keep that in mind. This course and others like it are just one part of the puzzle.
I haven't taken the course so I can't tell you one way or the other if it is a good investment. Personally, I don't believe in spending money if I don't have to and there are quite a few free resources that can help you learn about the different types of copywriting and help you develop your skills. Have you taken a trip to your local library? You might be surprised at just how many books are available on the subject Good luck!
Thanks for the tips everyone. @snarke - I get what you're saying. I'm just getting to a point where finding the information I really need is getting more and more difficult. I feel like I've gotten to a point where I need to take some courses to put it all together and fill in the missing spots.
I have the course with me though I haven't really touched it much. I even have stomper formula 5 and stompernet. I am going through a lot of stuff right now. All I can say is John Carlton is great. try out! If you don't like it or aren't satisfied, ask for your money back! It's worth it! Just try out once~! PM me if you'd like to know more.
