    They're pretty much the same, ajax is a techology which uses javascript :)

    exactly. AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. JavaScript is used to code AJAX technology.

    Ajax is an Information exchange method between client and server which uses javascript for the purpose, but now you can use more fine libraries of Jscript rather then using raw javascript.
