I have been contemplating writing articles with 100% unique content in the medical/nursing field, the question is, how valued are articles submitted to article directories nowadays for promotion? I know there has been a lot of devaluing of articles recently, and was wondering whether is it fact or fiction
You just want to post articles for SEO purpose (backlinks) Or to get traffic to articles and then get them to link you have inside article ? In both cases that is good idea, im sure articles get nice amount of traffic and article directory links are still strong and high quality
More wanted a discussion on how people perceive article submission in regards to quality of links and/or traffic. In any case thank you for your reply. I think the biggest issue is a lot of people who go the article route is they submit spun articles with non unique content and expect amazing results, where as if you write your own article from scratch i'd assume the results would be ten fold
I submit my articles to Squidoo and Ezine and point every other one back to my sites. It's helped my rankings and gains some targeted traffic. I know most people seem to think article directory's are dead, but it's been working a long time for me.
Do you want quality or quantity? If you want quality, then write them yourself. If you want quantity, then generate them automatically.
Information is still king. It's what everybody is searching for and communicating in one form or another... entertainment may be of more social value but it's harder to exploit / profit from on a sustainable basis. If you provide people with genuine information, of real value, coming from a place of real knowledge; information which people are seeking out, need, thirst and can benefit from... and if you present it in an interesting way that is compelling and enjoyable to read... you will win.
If you have the writing skills, I would create my own articles to generate traffic to my site. If you are not hot in writing your own articles, you can always hire somebody to do it for you. Either way you choose. Article writing is a good way of giving away good content to the audience you are targeting in your selected niche.
