Hey Guys, I believe marketing is the right place for this because it is quite a general question to do with a particular niche market but apologies if this is the wrong place. Basically I have started work on a new relationship related website which provides information on all things about love, dating etc. This is very new and only has about 6 articles on there at the moment. My idea is to build this site up over the next year or 2 to create a large content based website whilst doing some specific link building focusing on one main keyword. Ideally I am hoping this will bring me in some long tail search traffic however once I have a crazy amount of content! My Question is this: After chatting to a friend he basically told me I am an idiot for even trying to compete in this niche. Am I wasting my time here? Are there simply too many of these websites already in existence that I shouldn't attempt to take on the relationship niche without having a few thousand dollars to blow on SEO? I would really like some input here as I have been told before my website ideas are bad only to make quite a bit of money out of them. Any advice going into this niche would be greatly appreciated also
