Don't ever submit, just build up back links and it will get indexed organically, which is the best way to go!

Just use backlinks. Google will find you naturally. Once it has found you then submit a sitemap as well.

Submitting your site via google is not a bad idea but it is not required either. One thing is for sure that if you do submit your site in Google then it certainly won't hurt your rankings.

Yes, or try to submit your site in DMOZ if you want faster index. Or if ever, try other directories if you haven't got any from DMOZ. :)

It is hard to get into DMOZ unfortunetly, but their are many paid directorys out their like yahoo.com/dir/ botw.org and the like. Or just get good blog post links, thats what I do and I rank all over and have sites worth 50K +!!!!

uh.. how do you figure that ???..lol

it wont hurt to submit to google,, don't submit more then once a month..

Just get a few backlinks on high spidered sites and you'll get indexed..
    unless your banned, that is

Well, when you submit to google your trying to tell them what to do, I belive they sandbox you instantly when you do that. If you do it organically I dont belive you get sandboxed as heavily, that is just my opinion though.
