by Daniel Scocco from DailyBlogTips.com Source:http://www.dailyblogtips.com/is-it-worth-to-buy-domains-with-the-new-co-extension/ So guys, do you agree or disagree? What is your opinion? PS: I know there are existing threads on .co domains, but I think this required a separate thread.
Maybe .co is not as good as the .com but many people are buying it. I have purchased only one, auctionpro.co.
I suppose if you consider such doemain names as subject of investment it could be very good idea here.
.co is okay especially for spanish websites , otherwise I wouldn't register one. Only to get typins from people that forget the m
i have point out that it's a typo issue, people suppose .co can be alternative to .com, definitely not in my opinion. lets chat Are you going to buy .co?
Redelegation of the .CO domain representing Colombia to .CO Internet SAS http://www.iana.org/reports/2009/co-report-24nov2009.html
.com is and always will be a domainers first port of call. it's the normal, and i can't see .co making it easier... it's just like taking the ending off domains such as .co.uk and .co.jp. Though it is novel, the only real company i can see wanting it would be fantastico ( fantasti.co ) as it would just make sense to me, whether they acquire it or not would be their choice. The only people placing hype about it are hosting companies and registrar's but again, most of the users online prefer .com and are aware of .com, i know some people that aren't even aware of domains like .tv
its great only in one case : if you owned trafficked keyword.. like facebook.co youtube.co otherwise , you waste your money .
I don't think .CO's are that good, but because there are so many still available they could be better in a lot of cases.
.co will be selling on ebay for 99 cents next year. With no bids.I cant even get $20 for 3dpoker.co.I want a refund!
I dont think you will get even $1 for that because there is no market yet, the ext has only just been launched. The only market at the moment is for single letter names like F.co or A.co, or premium keywords like Travel.co, Health.co or Insurance.co You have to be patient with new extensions and see how they pan out Good luck
Such kind of risks are inherent to any business. You win some... you lose some! I guess... you should consider it as a bad investment and forget about it for now. Regards, RightMan
I believe some people here are overly fascinated with .co extension. Daniel made some real points though - We all have seen many extension come and go which promised a lot.
