Is it worth submitting to directories?

But most of my traffic came from forums. Eventhough directories doesn't give you much traffic, maybe it can help you in other way by increasing your link popularity.

 

directory submission is still a good choice for link building, especially for new sites. article submission can drive much more traffic. of course, it really depends on the quality of the article.

since i started on the internet, i must have submitted to up to 20 free directories


not 1 of them has listed any of my sites, as far as i can tell, actually, i've forgotten the names of most of them

okay, i am more a developer than a marketeer, but i must learn

Anyways, can you guys recommend manual submitters that you know an have had a good result with ?
