Spend your 300 bucks on something that will make your site good rather than paying google or yahoo to be included in their searches. You could attract more traffics if you'll do it manually link build. :D

cant say it is worth it or not ... but here are some other ideas

there are a handful of PR 5,6,7 paid directories for much cheaper and some of them are lifetime inclusion.

or you could pay a developer $300 for some nifty application for your niche, and if its viral it could catch on real quick and be much better than yahoo directory.

go to a freelance site and get someone to write 100 articles for $300 and post them all over the net and high-profile article directories

    just some thoughts ...

    interesting to hear other options

I would absolutely not pay $300 for a listing in Yahoo.

It depends on your website. If you have a website selling a product, I have always found the yahoo directory worth it.

If you are marketing a site where adsense, affilliates or a similar program will be your main revenue generator, I would have to say it is not worth it then.

I too think its better spending that money on other kinds of promotion for your site

Yes, and No.. Be careful, you may end up paying for nothing..They do reject listing sites time to time..and they keep the money..

i don't think it will really help you boost traffic to your site instead of that i would suggest to go with normal process in order to get your site listed.why do u go to them for listing you maintain good stuff you will reach your goal.
