Is it worth paying to be bumped on search engines?

I have a website that's getting between 1,500 and 2,000 unique's per day. (GODOFRADIO.com << the name is a joke betwween my old radio audience and myself.)

I've changed the site from a site about my show to a site that's full of videos, jokes, pics, etc.

I wanted to know the cost of getting your site listed higher on search engines and if its worth it to pay that amount. Also, if its worth it, how do you do it??

    Thanks everyone!

    Keith :)

This can be done freely without the need to pay someone if you are not lazy and up to the challenge. Your thread says “bump”, there is no way you can be bumped on any search engine; it just doesn’t work that way. How did you acquire that percentage of unique visitors already? I would spare some tips but it seems you want a search engine firm to work with, I do my own labor search engine optimization so I cannot recommend any even though I have friends who own firms, do a search on Google for more information, Google is there and you can review companies and all, this is a really minor question you are asking as there are so many answers and opportunities, to get professional results from a firm isn’t cheap, so its best you learn search engine optimization anyhow, the rules apply to everyone and there is no different rules with firms differing with an independent optimizer.

    - Good Luck, Please and thanks.

It really isn't a minor question. That's why I put it here. I have a book on web marketing written by Jerry Lee Ford. He haas tips to get your website on search engines for free, but doesn't really go into how to get your website bumped in orer, and yes, you CAN have your website listed higher to the top of certain categories. I just wanted to know how that's done, seeing how this forum is for questions just LIKE that. I wanted to know if it was worth whatever the cost of it was. I'm not lazy in the elast, but I'd like to know if its worth the effort and cash.

    Thanks very much.

“you CAN have your website listed higher to the top of certain categories”
    Categories as in keywords, right?

“I just wanted to know how that's done”

You asked how much it costs and if it is worth it.

“wanted to know the cost of getting your site listed higher on search engines and if its worth it to pay that amount.”

You asked how much it costs and if it is worth it and I answered your question, I said it IS EXPENSIVE, and it IS WORTH IT (if you can read between the lines).

“Also, if its worth it, how do you do it??”

I answered this and said how I think you should go about.

“I'm not lazy in the elast”

I was giving a universal example, never implied anything to you specifically!

“but I'd like to know if its worth the effort and cash.”

    Hmmm, I have answered this!

“It really isn't a minor question”

Searching Google for SEO firms isn’t minor?

“I have a book on web marketing written by Jerry Lee Ford.”

Yeah, I have books too, good for you, we are talking about search engine optimization and search engine optimization firms aren’t we?

“how this forum is for questions just LIKE that.”

Who in this world implied otherwise? Not me!

Please read my opinion with caution.
