Is it worth it?

I am starting up a site very shortly and I need/want to get the name out quickly and get it known before the summer is over..

But my question is. Is it really worth it to use adwords? Is the return good compared to the amount being put into it?

Or should I just head over to the bst section<once I have been a member long enough:rolleyes:> and spend my money on links and such?

    Thanks for your help.

Personally, I like using pay per click because I have more control and can meaure my return on investment. It's much more flexible and you won't have to deal with multiple entities.

I might do that as well..

But basically I am starting a Template site.. with hopefully 200gb of templates and I want to get the word out because of the resources it takes I would need a good return in my investment.

AdWords is a great way to measure your site effectiveness and tweak the conversion ratios before you roll out a big promotion. It's definitely worth it just because of this single way of using it.

If you're willing to put the work in, you can get very good results from PPC.

But it's not a 'fire and forget' campaign - you need to commit time and effort to making it work...
