Is it worth it?

    Hey,

Is google AdWords really worth using?
I mean I figured that if I paid $0.10 per click then I would only get 10,000 visitors to my site for $1000. And then out of those 10,000 hits only a small percentage would go on to click my ads, and thus probably wouldnt give me a return.
Under what circumstances should I be using adWords (CTR etc) and can you share your experiences with using adWords to advertise a site monetised by adSense

    Thanks

This type of question always make my eyeballs go round in their maximum physical rotational angle.

If your question is really "is AdWords worth it?" you are at the same time questioning the business sense and intelligence of probably at least a million people. Considering you seem to expect a chance that the answer is "no, AdWords is a pile of shite and not worth it" you are basically thinking we, AdWords advertisers, are thick.

The answer to your second question is dead simple too. When should you use AdWords? When the ROI justifies the investment. As simple as that.

If it suits your goals, it's worth it.

ok well I think other forms of advertising will always be more efficent then since this is an expensive form of advertising compared to other methods. However if I could get away with very low cpc's then it might be ok. Without just telling me concepts about this could you share your experience? I'd love to hear how people are making money with it rather then you just telling me it's possible

I sell stuff so with AdWords I 'buy' customers. As long as the total CPC is less than the increase in profit, it's worth it for me.

Ah great thanks. Yea I always thought; why would anyone advertise with adsnese if they're just going to make a loss by trying to get more clicks. I always thought the very top of eCommerce would be buying and selling goods online. Thats where I hope to get some day :). I bet it's very profitable isnt it?

Using adwords to get people to an adsense site is just plain stupid.

That's not what it was built for and I personally hope everyone who tries this route fails miserably and loses a ton of money.

All that does is f up the system for everyone else because now adwords has to spend time tracking down these idiotic MFA sites.

Please don't take this route, I don't want to hate you... :)

Yea like I said the return wouldnt be enough for me I was wondering why anyone would use it. Now I see. It's not for sites primarily selling adspace. Thats all I do right now so I suppose adWords is useless to me right now

Adwords is better to sell your own products, or for selling affiliate marketing products.
